KATHRYN L. SHUT, MBA, SHRM-PMQ

 Kathryn is a brilliant and gifted leader and a subject matter expert who really understands how to get the best out of people and lead highly productive technical and business teams. I had a pleasure to report to Kathryn through part of my tenure at Wells Fargo. Kathryn’s subject matter expertise in various aspects of business intelligence is simply magnificent. As a VP, Kathryn lead vulnerability reporting and technology asset management projects with an absolute technical command, unmatched enthusiasm, outstanding stakeholder relations, and positive influence. She is a revered leader, an effective agent of change, and most importantly, a powerful teacher and a mentor. I was blessed to report to her and grateful to continue keeping touch with her. I strongly believe that Kathryn is a standout asset for any organisation and I recommend Kathryn if you are looking for unparalleled technical and business leadership.  

 

I highly recommend Kathryn Shut as she is, by far, the best architect and leader I've had the pleasure to work with. She's fair, honest, willing to go the extra mile, and is customer-oriented.  Kathryn possesses the rare ability to maintain big picture whilst juggling daily minutia. She role models collaboration and is able to get a group of professionals to work as a team. In my opinion Kathryn's best qualities are listening, provides clear direction, a willingness to change, and integrity. I hope to work with her again in the future.

 

Kathryn’s business acumen, as well as, technical knowledge, allowed her to play a key role on a multi-year data warehouse implementation for our organization.  By understanding the business impact of our effort, Kathryn was able to strike a balance between meeting the timeline and meeting the business need.  As the technical leader, Kathryn’s knowledge of data warehouse design and development was critical in successfully managing the team and technical details of the implementation. I welcome the opportunity to work with Kathryn again. 

I had the privilege to work with Kathryn at Wells Fargo.  We started working together whilst she was in the process of designing an all-stop-shop Data Warehouse (DWH) for Enterprise Vulnerability Remediation. She was not only instrumental in bringing the India Dev team up to speed, but also had a great understanding of cross-cultural team dynamics. Her attention to detail translates directly into verbal communication (both written and vocal).  This truly is a catalyst for the clear, crisp, and concise expectations she sets from each team member. 

Kathryn also coached and mentored a bunch of development engineers including myself in niche areas of DWH principles and how they can be applied in complex scenarios. Her expertise in designing large scale enterprise level Warehousing solutions, coupled with excellent people management skills, is a combined trait that sets her way ahead in the league.  I would love to work with her again!
